Hi there, can anyone help me shed some light on whats happened
. I was massaging deep into very tight triceps and client felt tingling.
But her hand went numb i tried relaxing arm, shoulder and neck to see
If it would help but feeling has not returned. I am worried as she has m.s.
Is there something else i can do to help her? I tried a gentle stretch
Too but 3 hours later my clients hand is still numb.
Initially it went cold but after 10 mins circulation began to
Return.

Yes, was the arm hanging off of the table. That in itself can create feelings of numbness. There are several nerve branches that are in that area, it doesn't mean the client has MS at all. In fact, my forearm and fingers go numb and tingly if my mt leaves my arm hanging off the table too long. Typically, it's due to neural tension. It will help if you let us know how her arm was positioned and for how long.

Without knowing any details, it sounds as though there was some neural tension in the tricep/bicep area and that was aggravated by the massage and stretching, but not known for sure until it's explained how the arm was positioned and for how long.

Hi, sorry i shouldve been clearer. Client already has m.s.
She is also a hairdresser and this is her comb arm (left).
At the time arm was hanging off bed.
She has most of sensation back in arm today but is getting
Flashes of hot and cold in arm now, like she does in right arm.
Right arm is mostly numb due to ms but left arm had been fine till last night.
Would it be possible that ive triggered an ms symptom?

Ah, I re-read and saw you wrote "AS she has ms". Sorry about that, I read your post too quickly. Since MS is a disease that affects the CNS, it probably was just a coincidence. I have a couple clients with MS and symptoms are unpredictable.

She has sensation returning now. Quite frightening
How quickly they can develop.
