Cross fiber friction, kneading from tensor fascia latae to the ankle, loosening of the attachments at the greater trochanter and ischial tuberosity are just a few of the things that popped into my mind when I read this post.....
Lots of times the strain from long term standing, especially when most of it is done with the weight distributed more on one leg than the other, can create this problem..... I teach my clts that complain of it to use a tennis ball to apply friction cross fiber and longitudinally to help relieve the problem... I try to work on all the other stuff for them....
