Occasional numbness in back; caused by epidural? or massage chair? HELP!?

For the past month or so, I've had a numb/ tingling sensation in my middle back. It comes and goes. It doesn't hurt; it's just a weird sensation just underneath my skin. 10 months ago, I had an epidural for childbirth labor, and I'm wondering if this could be the cause. Another possible cause could be the massage chair that I use at the nail salon while getting a pedicure. I usually use the massage chair for an hour at a time, and sometimes my back feels bruised the next day where the little knobby things in the chair rubbed. Anyway, those are 2 possible causes i've thought of. Has anyone heard of either of those things causing this sensation? Anyone experiencing this and have another possible diagnosis for me? I appreciate any and all input! THANKS!

I can definitely tell you that; that numbness you are feeling in your back is from the epidural. Not the chair. OK?

And there is nothing you can do about it; because they must of hit a nerve when they went into your back.

I'm sorry to tell you this; but this is definitely the truth.

I agree that it was from the epidural, but that it's because of a muscle that tightened up on it when it went in and is locked like that. Some muscles are good at holding pain in them until they are released. Here is how you can release your back muscles which should free that one back up for you:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
