Offshore Bar....where to start your night/day

Hi folks,

My first post on the forum post having recently spent a month in Patong (will certainly be back).

Thought I would pass on that the folks at the Offshore Bar were a big part in making my month there top notch. The staff, particularly the manger Luigi, will go out of their way to make you feel right at home. The surprisingly good pool table is free to customers - give Luigi a game.....he feckin' needs the practice! Good place to watch the footy also (I watched the projector and screen being professionally installed!). From my month there, the place seems to attract the nicer side of Patong visitors/residents also.

No 'hassle' like you will find elsewhere in Patong and so it makes a great place to prepare yourself for the bonkers establishments that will no doubt follow later in the night!

I enjoy sitting on the inside of the bar looking out to what is happening on the corner...plenty of interesting things going on there 555

been in a couple of times this week once with Dodger and another with Petter...Dodge had steak and chips for 190 baht which is as cheap as...well....chips

it's a bar where you don't get the hassle of bangla bars etc, because it attracts many expats and is enough out of the way, where you don't get the foot traffic that you other wise come across down the hill.

Would you agree that it's odd, when a newbie member who spent a month in Patong, only reports about 1 bar in their first & only post.?????

Just from my own experience quite often if I've visited somewhere new and found a new bar that is the dogs bollox I will bore my mates to tears talking about it. Happened recently to me after a recent visit to Amsterdam, you see there is this bar on the Leidseplein that ............................... and ............................

Hey Craig,

Not quite sure what is so odd about my post. By definition, my first post is also going to be my only post for some period of time (in this case a couple of days). The Offshore was comfortably where I spent most of my month.......stands to reason that it would be the first place I look to spread the word about.

I'll be sure to make some random entries about nondescript bars in Bangla to dilute this post and keep you happy!

Anyhoo - Offshore rocks (that is 5 EUR more Luigi!)
