jI ust returned from an Acutonics workshop, & look forward to including the forks in my massage practice! I've had a session from a co-worker, & had relief from muscle tension; used the forks

I don't have the ohm tuning fork. I have the healing tuning fork set. they are much better as they are base on proper frequency for healing. tuning fork work energetically through vibration. they are cool. you can combine forks together if you can use two hands at once. do your research online for healing tuning forks. they are much better as you have more usage. they are known as SACRED frequencies. there are even different tuning fork for acupuncture, each spinal bones, muscles, tissue, organs, etc... I got my set from healingtuningforks. com depending on what you want to use the fork for, you can try other sets.

Thanks for the article and further info, Blisss!
Moog, the chiro explained to me that if I had any fractures it would HURT rather than feeling pleasant. It was nothing but pleasant!
On the aforementioned website re: biosonics, in the background info area, they explain that many chiros and PTs use the tuning forks to detect fractures. I was just fascinated as I always am with new knowledge!
Any more info or feedback out there?
Thanks, gang!

I'm curious and a bit confused. How can anyone tell if you have fractures by using a tuning fork??

I don't have experience with tuning forks, but I am intrigued. ABMP had an article by the author of this book:

Thought I would re-activate this thread rather than starting a new one.
I've been having some neck and upper back problems and the first time I saw the chiro he used a tuning fork on my neck and back to make sure there were no fractures (there were not.) I loved the feeling of the vibration! And immediately wondered if I might find a way to use them in my massage practice.
I see that on the biosonics website there are all kinds of books, DVDs etc. . . . has anyone looked into this and actually incorporated it into massage sessions?
TIA!
Sherry

Ohm tuning fork?
Yes I'm speaking about the ones you've provided in the hyper link but I saw them in the latest Massage warehouse catalog. I'm always interested in "new toys"

Are you asking about the Ohm fork you can find at http://www.biosonics.com/ or http://www.acutonics.com/ or something else?
I've used tuning forks a few times - my set isn't weighted so you can't really hear it. The few people I've used it on have found it very relaxing and energising, but they tend to say that about anything I do LOL! Last time I had a look around about tuning forks it was all written or classes. Now there are videos, so I may investigate further
