On Christmas eve I got to speaking with an older uncle and a few drinks into our convo, we started shooting the shit about hobbying (surprisingly not as awkward as it sounds haha). Now as it turns out, he's been hobbying for a while...25 years or so by his count. He mentionned how over the years, he feels the mileage or general response he gets from MTs has decreased. He correlates the decrease in responsiveness he gets from the MTs with the fact (his fact) that more & more younger guys are hobbying. His words not mine went something like this " these good looking younger guys are showing up and making me look worse by comparison...no wonder the ladies aren't treating me like they used to".

Now I'm on the younger end of the spectrum myself. And I actually feel that my younger age works against me in this hobby sometimes. It seems to me like a lot of MTs see a young guy on their table and think to themselves " oh this guy obviously thinks he's hot shit, and he's going to be a pig and try to get more than what I'm offering". Consequently I feel that a barrier is being put up right off the bat, one that I need to break down with conversation and subtily stating my intentions.

Older guys might be seen more as "gentlemen" and on some level, MTs might feel more comfortable with them.

I can only speak from my own experience's, many women are not stupid and the thing I love about seeing an MT is they are selective and they will let you know
So chances are they can smell out the swine and detect the dirt bags... [tup]
Its not a given in this business they have to do anything they wish not too, so keep that in mind gentlemen.

I know every-time I have great experience it was because of the chemistry and I will leave it at that...This is why for me I continue to hobby and if that ever changes I will pack it in!

My experiences has shown that attitude and respect , in general , will be more important to most MP's than your age.
Most people react positively when they are appricated and treated well.

I do suggest doing some homework to ensure that you choose a MP that can provide you with what you are looking for. That's where this board can be a big help. [tup]

I'll have to agree with Ricochet here.
Skadude I think you and your uncle are at completely different ends of the spectrum but both in the same boat for different reasons.
Skadude your right about what the girls are thinking when they see a young dude and you're handling it well by showing that your mature as well. As for your uncle he's putting the blame on the younger clientele. I think he should be doing what your doing and trying to figure out what the girls are thinking when they see him. And then making those changes to get the kind of response he wants. On the other hand perhaps he should be seeing ladies closer to his own age group.
I myself am probably as old as your uncle (based on his hobbying years) but I don't look my age nor do I act or dress my age. Obviously my maturity is present but not apparent. In my case I still was treated well. But I do get along better (Intellectually, emotionally and physically) with ladies in their late twenties and older than I do with younger girls now.
But this is all very subjective. I know men well into their fifties and sixties still rocking the hell out of girls younger than their children. And I know young dudes who are cleaning up pretty nicely in the rooms too.

You should get your uncle to be a member of this forum lol!

Interesting topic, I alway thought about it since I am a young guy. Would girls rather be with a young guy from the same generation as them, or an older dude who probably has more money and might come more frequently. I've been hobbying for a while and I alway made sure to be respectful and look mature to the MT. Ricochet mentioned that MT's are selective with their costumers, but after I have seen and spoke to many MT's I can say it can also be the other way around. We the clients can be selective too. Some of the MT's are just in this to make money so they don't care about being young or old as long as you can pay big (I have had a masseuse say it to my face, I'm doing this for easy money so I'd rather have the old guy come over every day and pay the big bucks than a younger dude visiting once a month), while other masseuses seem to enjoy what they do and as ricochet said they can smell the dirt bags. I would say it depends who you are visiting and what their attitude is.

I found that they all preferred older men due to one common answer "They are RESPECTFUL" I fall in he young guy category... Most of the women tell me that the young guys are full of themselves and expect to have FS with them, they do not respect the boundries of the service offered by the women. Some of the guys go as far as being forcefull with these women. So the few bad apples give us young guys a bad rap.
