white circle with a shadow? On facebook chat next to peoples names the icon that represents when people are away - is it a tiny crescent moon or a 3D white circle with a shadow?

To tell you the truth, it's not something i have ever notice so much as to wonder about what it is, but you're a good observer! It's just a .GIF image, though, like when a video is loading, on certain websites, it's the same thing you see, but a little bigger, they just replace, like the speed and when the .GIF image is suppose to come in, with a few coding.

You know... that is interesting. I have always seen it as a moon, for various reasons such as setting your computer to standby via a moon icon on the desktop keyboard.

actually the circle with the shadow appears when they are not online (or at least when they are online, but they don't want others to know about it...)
the one that looks like a half moon is when they are online, but they are busy (or just forgot to close the facebook window! )
and the green circle is when they are active, they are talking to someone.
