Opening another office ...

I am in the processing of obtaining a license in NH (I am expecting to take the practical in January) and would like some suggestions as to how to get started opening another location.

I have an office in MA and have been in business for 8 years, but I have recently built a home in the Lakes Region of NH and would like to build a business there as well. I want to split my time between the two locations.

My plan is to contact an upscale spa in the area, along with a couple of health clubs I know of. Also, skiing is big in the area so maybe I could contact come lodges and do chair massage. Hummm ...

I'd prefer to have office space some place, but I don't want to incur the expense of a monthly rent at this point.

Any ideas?

Good luck, I think thats a wonderful idea. I wouldn't throw out the baby with the bathwater just yet - since its a ski area, seasonal leases should be within their lingo. Or maybe you can find a suitable sub-lease from another complimentary professional. Since golf is so big out here, some clever people have come up with a chair massage protocol that involves even using a club (!?) (the visual is killin' me! ha ha), and the whole thing is specific to tuning the mechanics of a golphers game. I think you could do something like that for skiers (not with a ski pole yikes!)... but you get my drift. I can just see a hot rock chair massage being performed in a lodge (even out on deck when the weather is great) - those rocks would feel great. Just a little day dreaming here, but good luck to you!
