Phoebe is quite an uncommon name. If I've never seen it before, I would have trouble pronouncing it too. When I was a kid (many moons ago), I had a Phoebe in the class. Let's just say that I made quite an ass of myself while trying to say her name. So please, just because you find it obvious how to pronounce the name, don't assume others feel the same way. I don't usually like correcting people on this board but your post sounded very egotistical.

And like many names, Phoebe can have different pronounciations, depending on the culture. Remember Asmodeus, this is a multicultural society that sometimes adopt English or western names. I have to agree with Pegasus - that was very egotistical. Remember - you say tomato, I say tomato.

Well, at least one person is paying attention. I had a teacher in high school who always sprinkled a few grammatical errors throughout an assignment to see if anyone was awake.

a) Artemis (phoebe), and NOT Apollo (phoebus).
b) A Titan, and mother of Leto, who herself gave birth to Apollo and Artemis. (see point a).
