I trade massages with different therapists around town who have their own space. As a result of their clients coming to them, they are able to provide a lot of little "extras" like warm/cold towels (wrapped around the hands and feet), dim lighting, candles, music, and so on. I have built my business where I only do outcall massages. What are clever/practical things that I can bring with me to my clients' homes to make their appointment an experience?
I'm big into aromatherapy so I always have a dozen or more essential oils with me. My iPhone has different spa/instrumental playlists that I can use. It just seems like more trouble than it's worth to be transporting candles and crock pots, especially when the client isn't creating an atmosphere for this sort of thing. Most of the time I'm just performing the massage in the middle of the person's living room--TV going, kids screaming, people going in and out of the house, phone ringing, etc.
I would cherish your tips if you're willing to share :altwink:
