Outside Bangla

I will be visiting Phuket in mid-June and i was thinking of trying some place other than Bangla, atleast for a nite or two. I do my usual thing every night of going to MTB, grab a few, then head on out to some other bar in Bangla for a few more and then head back or end up in some disco. I wanted to see if there is any other street close by with a bunch of bars which i can try just to beat the monotony. I thought i saw a cluster of bars somewhere close to the beach, but too lazy to actually go explore them, so any suggestions is welcome.

Try turning right at the top of Bangla, wander down to the OTOP area almost opposite Holiday Inn. Probably pretty quiet this time of year, but another place to explore.

A night out in Kamala is also a nice change and Dodger may possibly be up for a mini bar crawl.

Now there are some bars opposite bangkok residence hotel on Soi Sansabai, then also you have the bars at OTOP market...

there is a group of bars along the beach rd, turn right at beach end of Bangla Rd - walk about maybe 150/200m it is on yr right side, i was there last year, there were a few nice girls there then.

gary09 is right. On the beachroad is a big sign "Irish Bar" and a green goplin standing at the sidewalk. At the other side of the road, Thaweewong (beachroad) is "La Salsa" restaurant/bar. You will find about 20 bars offering free pool but watch out ...

There is another cluster of bars at the south part of beach opposite Absolute Hotel.The Beach Bar is Aussie owned and has a good crowd.Next to it is Dolphin Bar and several others.They have a kitchen for pub grub too. :info:

You also have the Soi Sea Pearl bars off Sawardirak Road which is further north that Irish Bar area.:info:

As you reach the top of bangla rd from the beach, take a left, walk about 100 yards and take a left in behind the 7-11, there are a bunch of bars in there with a few pool tables, some nice girls, ok for a change of scene, had some great hangover hardon sessions with a few of these girls.:yes:

Yeah, i'm getting a bit tired of Bangla also.
The street is ok, I like people watching and all, but the bars are getting old.
In so many of them, the girls rarely even smile anymore.

Last time I was in Patong, I noticed a somewhat new group of bars down at the northern end of town on a small road that connects the Rat-u-thit road (sp?) to the road with the evil club on it.

Anyone have any info on this area?
Looked like about 7-10 bars in a row on that small soi.
