ovary reflex

Hi, i have a clint and for about a month i have notticed that the ovary reflex sticks out quite a lot on both feet(looks swallen), and it is sometimes tender, does this mean anything as anyone els had this?
any advise would be great

Usually the ovaries are prominent during and around ovulation and when menatruation begins it feels like simeone used a scoop and scooped it out.From the initial consultation has this lady had problems with ovaries,ovarian cysts,how is her menstrual cycle,is she in menopause or peri menopause etc.etc.

and menstrual cycle is fine.

Sadly you're never too young for menopause. I started mine at 38 but it's not as rare as you'd think to start menopause in your teens! I'd go along with the ovarian cyst theory, or possible PCOS.

I'd agree with the PCOS or ovarian cyst theory if they are not ovulating at the moment. Also, some people can have slightly larger ovaries and sometimes one larger than the other. One of my clients had a slightly raised ovary reflex on one foot and she told me that an ultrasound had picked up that that ovary was slightly larger and has been overcompensating for the other ovary.

Another thought - Is she using any hormonal type contraceptives like the Pill, implant, injection or coil? These can stop ovulation from occuring so it's possible that it could show up on the ovary reflexes. Has she recently started using any of these or perhaps changed type? Or is she taking any fertility meds?

I have a lump on that part of my foot which gets larger and smaller and more tender at certain times of the month.
I have pcos and so that seems quite fitting I feel...
It's only on my left foot so I'd be really intrigued to get another scan to see if they're more in one side than the other

If you do,please let us know,it would be so interesting,and did you know that any disruption in your ovaries can cause sugar cravings and can also throw your thyroid out of balance

Yes I did know about the sugar thing... I have to eat a lot of protein and don't eat pasta, bread etc any more.

Interesting about the thyroid tho. Will keep that in mind...

To be honest I got so annoyed with the hospital and docs I haven't been back as I found them so useless! Should maybe look into that tho,

The ovary reflexology point near the dorsal malleolus also overlaps with the acupressure point B62. This acupressure point is indicated when someone suffers from back pain, neck pain, headaches, dizziness and insomnia (among other things!).
So, if your client does not have any direct menstrual/endocrine/ovarian problems then in may be more due to the acupressure point indications - I have often found this to be the case in some clients.

Calm and clear that is interesting,so I presume that you would work that area for the above complaints and that problems with ovaries could also present with the above problems[am I making any sense?]

Haha - yes it makes sense

Yes you can work this area for those conditions too - which may also be present due to hormonal/ovarian energy problems. However, acupressure point stimulation is done slightly differently to reflexology point work.
