Parenting question: Do you give your kids a time limit for eating their dinner?

I actually have to give my son a time limit, because he gets distracted and plays instead of eating. the food gets cold, and when I went to take it away, he'd SCREAM that he wanted to eat. I got tired of warming up the food and letting it get cold again. Kids have time limits for meals at school and he is a kid that actually needs one. Twenty minutes is plenty of time for a small child to eat a small meal. I give him child sized portions.

Well, since my car wreck a couple of weeks ago, I have been seeing a chiropractor, and after the crap he does to me, I don't think I can imagine anyone putting their hands on me for a LONG time... but if it would remove the pain, I might consider it...

The one time I had a professional massage, which was years ago, every time she touched me I would laugh. For some reason my tickle reflex was crazy and we had to stop.. embarrassing.

But... the last time I had one a spider fell down onto me, freaked me out, scared me half to death so that I got so tense it hurt, and after that I've never wanted a massage again... *L* I lay down and just can FEEL that spider starting up my leg...

pq, yes. My 3 year old would be done after 20 seconds if I left it up to her. She has to sit there as long as we are eating, and she must try a certain number of bites of each food.

Kinda. I feel really good even though I've got stress. A massage really won't help me much.

Time limit??? Only if it's been an hour and they're still eating, then I kinda give the heads up that "hey you got 10 more minutes"
