I have a client who has Parkinsons. His legs twitch and jump uncontrollably, he has joint and muscle pain in his hip flexors & extensors, glutes and adductors. He says his pain is mostly around the attachment areas of the muscles, which fall around the knee and of course, the inguinal area. He wants light massage in that area, but I'm thinking there are problems with this (endangerment site and proximity to the genitals).
He even told me that he knows that it is close to his genitals, but to ignore them because this isn't about sex, and he will help keep them covered with the sheet. He just hurts and massage is temporary relief. I want to help the guy, his legs were spasming really bad so I know he isn't lying about the pain. His muscles/attachments have to be exhausted from constantly moving. I've never seen anything like it.
Any suggestions?
