Parlour having originated from the French parloir (a place where once converses) once referred to a sitting room immediately off the entrance, where guests, merchants or inquirers were directed to, and waited for the master of the household upon being invited in homes during or prior to the early 20th century. Typically, one might be invited to the Parlour, but not necessarily the Living Room.

The name was hijacked in the latter part of the 20th century (among others like "gay") and became associated with Beauty Parlours and in rare cases, Massage Parlours. That is not what you meant, was it?

I do know a good priced parlour but unfortunately it is expensive.

Funny enough there is a really classy parlour however it is not in Vancouver.

Lastly there is a place or two that have a good amount of asians but no large line ups of non- asian. The upside - it is inexpensive, the downside - it is not classy and is not in Vancouver.

Try Lavanda, I was there the other day visiting a girlfriend and they had 6 girls working, 3 asian, 2 white and 1 black. All of them were between 20-30(that is my guess).Plus the place has been cleaned up since I worked there a year ago.
