party type evening

Hi, I was just wondering if any of you have done a party type evening with IHM? I have been asked by a friend if I would go to her house and do an IHM evening.

I was thinking maybe I could start the evening with a little bit about IHM, its origins and its benefits etc. and then conduct a treatment on the 5 "clients"
I was just wondering, what could everyone else be doing whilst I am conducting treatments? Are they just left to natter and gossip, I am also doing diploma in meditation so I wondered if they could try some meditation techniques.

Have any of you ever conducted this type of evening, and what format, if any, do you use????

Hi Soph
You don't mention if you are being paid to do this for your friend, but maybe you could start by giving a talk and short demonstration and then do your five treatments at a discount price for everybody.
I think you should ask for a quiet room to give the treatments in (I always need quiet when I am treating so I can concentrate and it is better for the client too). When have done your initial talk, maybe you could show them the meditation techniques so they can do this while you are treating, then hopefully it will be quiet!

Yes I am being paid for this, as it is a group booking they are getting a discounted rate. I just wondered if people would get bored whilst they are waiting for their turn?

I do tarot parties and have a separate room as mentioned above and whilst I am doing the readings, the other guests have a good old fashioned natter wtih nibbles and a glass of wine then compare notes.
