Past Life Regression Therapy

Hi.
I am thinking about doing a course in past life regresion therapy.
I was wondering if there is anyone here who has done it, and what you think about it.

I know nothing about this therapy, but am intrigued by it,so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Elaine

I did a course in Past Life Regression with the College of Past Life Regression, whose principal was Keith Hearne - I believe he is still doing this course but possibly incorporating hypnotherapy. I got quite a lot from it - you could always apply for a prospectus to see what they have to offer.

There is also training with Roger Woolger which you might like to look up too. He wrote a book called Other Lives Other Selves and runs workshops regularly in the UK and the continent.

I had this therapy recently and it was not what I had expected. I had thought I would see only past lives, but as was explained to me by the therapist, you may not experience an actual past life but a story that deals with something you may need to deal with in this life. I think this is where it is important that the therapist has to be very careful, possibly with counselling skills - I was also asked if there were areas or times/ages in my life I wanted to avoid.
I went into one life that dealt with a couple of issues I thought I had dealt with. I don't know if this was a past life that created the issues I had or something my mind was helping me to deal with. I wouldn't have done it if I had a lot of issues in my life as I think it could have been very scary.
Although I would love to know what past lives I have had, I currently do not want to do it again because I felt out of control and do not really know what I think of the experience ('story') I had, although it explained a lot of the way that I am. Really you aren't out of control because you can open your eyes and sit up at any moment.
So, hope some of that made sense and hope you enjoy the course if you do it.

This sounds demonic to me.

And I would never submit myself to hypnosis: to allow someone else to control my mind and throughts.

You need to be careful because past life regression therapy sounds like demon activity.

I am not sure what you mean by demonic, do you mean attachments, possession, sub personalities - I wonder if you could elaborate.

The past life regression techniques I was taught were like a guided meditation. I don't know whether you watched any of the television programmes where various celebrities were guided back to a former life - it was very very interesting and was on T.V. approx. 2 years ago. This is how accredited, trained regression therapists approach PLRT.

PLRT (Past Life Regression Therapy) became a therapy after psychotherapists, counsellors and hypnotherapists noted that some of their patients were accessing memories not from this life, but from another time. Hazel Denning Ph.D was the first lady of regression therapy, followed by many others. Therefore, most people have some training as a therapist, counsellor, psychotherapist.
