At long last the bungy has come down at the Expat Hotel and by the time you read this will be on its way to Dubai. Apparently the area it vacated is now to be developed into a beer garden

I know that things are bad and that the discounts are very deep.
A member got a % discount greater than mine at my regular hotel....Be assure I'll NOT mention a word upon check in time...Shite....I hate "fair weather friends".... I don't believe in nipping during hard times and look forward to a long standing friendship with all those whom I do business.

An extra 20000 Baht has been set aside for frivilous spending as my own economic stimulus package and hope all of you will support Patong with a little more spending....and don't ask for more boom for your baht!
At the upcomming Board Meeting, June 7th, other members are joining me with lots of "Gifts for the Girls" during the party!

The Bungy Jump has gone. Didn't belong to the Expat anyway.

Wanda however is departing and that really spells doom for Patong. Things must be bad is Wanda is doing a runner. Who remembers Wanda's legendary film performances?

Which bungy jump ?
The jungle bungy jump in Kathu? The bungy jump near rock&bowl or the Crazy Ball catapult in Soi Sunset. I suppose you are speaking about the last one as it was already closed when I went there in February. I jumped twice in Kathu and tried one time the Crazy Ball. I can really say it was worth it!!

Yup, the Crazy Ball catapult in Soi Sunset. Don't know when it last functioned. In contrast to years gone by it's not a Soi if often enter, the best bar in the Soi lost the best owner in the World some years ago, but tha's okay as he's a nearish neighbour of mine and we can drink at leisure when we feel like it.

It was he who send me up that bungy catapult with a half bottle of Tequila in my guts - May 19th 1992. Remember it well. They bought me two goes, but that was because they never thought they'd see me again.
