just wonder how lively will patong be in September ie bangala hollwood,thai pan i arrive 5/9/11 and fly back 20/9/11 got a great deal on flights £599 rtn
this will be the first time i have been in patong in September as on my 4 previous visits it has been January, February (twice) and april for songkarn

we were there october last year and the weather was plesent we are going september this year so is the weather the same
i know raining season starts october is this right?

rainy season starts in May until early Dec.it can and usually does rain a lot between those months.

Hi. I was in Patong in September 2010 for a total of 9 nights (went LHR>BKK>Patong>Samui>KPN>Samui>Patong>BKK>LHR) !

It was quite busy overall although many restaurants and bars were often empty. Inevitably Bangla road and the surrounding areas were packed at all hours

I will be back there again this September for 4/5 nights

I am going back to Phuket this coming September 1 - 14. I was just there in March and have another opportunity to go back. I went alone in March and as people have said on this board, you meet some great people there.

In March it rained everyday I was there almost everyday. They claimed that many parts got more rain in those 5 days than they usually do in an entire year. I can't imagine September can be worse. I will be interested to see how busy it is as I have only been in Feb-April before. This is supposed to be low season. Hopefully there are still alot of the great girls there and they haven't gone back to their province for the low season.

September is the wettest month of the rainy season, followed second by May. March this year was one of the wettest on record and certainly the wettest March I can ever recall, think it rain for 7 days non-stop, that's when neighboring area's had the landslides and flooding etc
