Has this happened to anyone before...

I tried to pay 6 times at least and it won't let me get passed the last thing, the security part when you type in the latter and numbers they have for you… this is a problem….

I actually went in and charged my CC myself and didn't see this, but I am not even sure what she is referring to. She was my guinea pig since no one had payed through paypal before, and figures there is a problem. So, can anyone explain this?

paypal has been having some issues. i've been trying to pay for some cubs tickets for weeks now and can't get payment to the guy. i dunno but it's a real hassle. sorry can't help too much. my probelm was different than yours though. i couldn't get his account to take my payment. good luck. maybe she's putting it in wrong? make sure she uses capitols and lower case. sometimes it's hard to tell what they are.

So that would be the weird box that they make so it is hard to read, that you need to type in. I never even saw that when I was making a payment. So that is part of my question, what in the world was she talking about?!?!?!

yep, that's what she's talking about. that weird box where half the time you can't make out what is written. i really think you should have seen that when making your "payment". the only thing i can think is that she's not putting in the correct letters & numbers. i does give you more than one chance though so she should be able to make out a least one code. hmmmm?

:iagree: You're probably logged into your PayPal account when you go to pay. Your friend is probably trying to pay without having a PayPal account.
I've received PayPal payments over the last couple of weeks from people that used their credit cards rather than a PayPal account, so either she is having trouble reading the letter or it's a random issue (undocumented feature is the technical term )

If I am understanding right, it is the security box. Lots of times people enter the letters in lowercase, when they should be done in uppercase. I have had people email me many times and ask how to finish paying for an order. I tell them to make sure they type it exactly as it is shown. Making sure that there are capitals where needed and lowercase where needed. Also, they have mistaken a lowercase (l) for the number one. Usually they don't have any other problems after that.
