Stammetti named general sales manager of WECT
WILMINGTON -- Eileen Stammetti has been named the general sales manager of WECT, effective March 12. She joined WECT in 2014 as the local sales manager.
Stammetti has replaced Mark Mendenhall, who was named as WECT’s vice president and general manager on March 1.
“Eileen has done a great job leading our local sales efforts as Local Sales Manager over the past 4 years and is unquestionably ready to take the next step in leading our overall sales efforts,” said Mark Mendenhall, Vice President and General Manager of WECT. “Her relationships and knowledge of the market will help take us to new levels on sales front.”
“I've enjoyed helping local businesses grow over the past four years through WECT. Our region is quickly expanding, and so are we,” Stammetti said. “We’re embarking on an exciting new frontier of offering more opportunities to clients as we continue to expand news and weather on more platforms.”
Stammetti has been working in broadcast media since 1985. Prior to working at WECT, she served as multimedia sales manager at WFMY-TV in Greensboro.
