People Please Answer?? Do you think it's rude to hold your neighbors up...

...with idle chit-chat when they? are just coming home from work? Has this ever happened to you or Have you done it to a neighbor?

Also, why would neighbors do this without even thinking about your exhausting day at work?

hey. not everyone comes home the same time as you. but yeah, it can be annoying just like the gardner outside on your only day to yourself...lol. but it is what it is.

I think everyones been in that situation at least once before where you just want to sit down and zone out for a bit after a hard day but someone (be it neighbor, friend, whatever) wants to talk your ear off about stuff you couldn't care any less about. The thing is, that person probably doesn't realize you're itching to just lay down and relax, they probably think they're just being friendly.

When it happens just try to find a polite way to leave the conversation. if they're droning on just say something like "oh gee, I'm really sorry Bill but I have to get inside and start dinner" or "My feet are killing me do you mind if we talk about this on the weekend or some other time?"

Yeah, i hate that. I know what you mean.

I have one neighbor named Ann who is a homebody that never talks to anyone, and does a lot of gardening. If she ever catches my eye in the front yard she'll start yapping... how's it going .... and then BLAH BLAH BLAH for twenty minutes NONSTOP. I just stand there staring at her... eventually I can't even muster to nod my head in acknowledgement any more, I'm just numb... yet she keeps on talking and talking. Jeez! Get a friend... or a pet that will always be there to listen.
