Phuket, Pattaya or Bangkok ???

I have been in Pattaya and Bangkok and I like them, specially Pattaya. I go meny times to Brasil, working, and I thougt it was the paradise, refering the nightlife. But las year I went first time to Thailand. 3 days in Bangkok and 4 in Pattaya. In Bangkok I thought I was in the paradise and when I knew Pattaya I was really amazing. Now I want to go to Phuket because it is very famous, more than Pattaya or Bangkok, at least in Spain. I would like to ask you, veterans from Thailand, which one do you prefer: Bangkok, Pattaya or Phuket.

Pattaya for mongering
Phuket for beach and meeting BMs
BKK for shopping and airport.

Phuket is great.... havent met any bm's because i went before i knew about this board... very relaxing.... And has a decent nightlife aswell...

Bangkok would always go to because i like the city and there are a few culture trips you can do there to get a better idea of Thailand to a certain extent..... Also has the Lumphini stadium good for a friday night out and has good nightlife there aswell....

Not been to pattaya so i have no comment on that

Love bangkok, its one of my favourate cities in the world..... I like to call it the real "sin city"... pattaya haven't been to yet, but heard lots about it... Doesn't seem like the type of place i would enjoy though... Phuket, well its great, i wouldn't wanna be late, so come and become a mate... Hey i'm a poet and i don't even know it :bangin: If you liked bangkok and pattaya, if you like the beach, and i'm guessing you do seein as you go to brazil often, i'm quite happy to make the assumption that you'll love Phuket just as much, plus phuket will give you a chance to also check out places like krabi, samui and Koh Lanta....

Bangkokair flys between Phuket and pattaya, takes about an hour, cost about 3000baht. Great airline.

Bangkok for me. So many other things to do during the day, and more choice of nightspots in the evening. Pattaya was great, but the emphasis is entirely on getting laid, Phuket (Patong Beach) had it's charm as well, but not really my cup of tea. I guess I just prefer larger cities. Plus, I just found the bar girls in Bangkok have a far more realistic attitude, and more fun to be with when we were alone.

I've only ever been to Phuket but one of my mates has been everywhere.

He seems to be of the opinion:
Phuket: Beach and Party
Pattaya: as above, but x100.

well if your mate thinks the beaches in Pattaya are 100 x better than Phuket's he's never seen a beach in his life.....would agree that there are way better gogos and way more of them...x 100 I doubt but certainly more of everything P4P wise

Sorry, I meant my mate just said the party/gogo scene was 100x bigger. Not the beaches. I meant Phuket was better for the beach.
