I have one muscle that is hard and tight like a piano string in my lower back.
It is in the group of muscles that runs up parallel tothe spine.
It is quite deep into the muscle tissues and I have to push quite hard to feel it.
When I apply hard pressure I feel a lively dull pain that stays.
I have been pressing hard on it and performing deep massage on it over the last few days. Now it feels painful to move and my bending is restricted. In fact my whole lower back has stiffened up. Especially when I get out of bed and in the morning. Later on most of the back loosens, but I can still feel pain in the tight muscle.
Today I started to use ibuprofen and deep heat. I will continue to do the deep massage as it is the only option I have.
Does anyone have a suggestion of the best way treat this kind of problem?
Thanks,
Andrew.
