pimple on the penis

ok... I have a bump on my meat whistle...

It looks like a pimple... but I'm scared it could be an STD??

Does anyone know if its common to get acne on the lower region of the body (penis)

Mind you I only have one... but it went away and I got another one soon after.... havn't gotten any since!??!

Could be serveral things...could be a genital wart, could be herpes(although I think they are clustered) or it could be a simple pimple.... best bed is to get it checked out as I've never heard of pimples on a penis

If you recently shaved your bag, and had a few strays up on the shaft, you might now have an ingrown hair. That happened to me once.

If it's on the head of your cock, then you are a freak, or you have an STD!

Sheik, it is possible to get acne anywhere on the body, penis too. If you shave with cream it is possible to get some in the pores= pimple.

why yes, I did shave my shaft... and I think it may be an ingrown hair. it was midway between the head and base of my penis.

and like I said earlier i got it twice... the first time, it kinda looked like a whitehead and it poped like a pimple on your face....

I once had a MONSTER pimple on my shaft. I had no idea what it was and was freaking out that it was antibiotic resistant syphilis. It was a deep red color without a head and was immense. I popped it, but it burst out thru an adjacent hair follicle and sort of vomited out the hair itself with the pus.

After a couple of days of intense angst (and pain), I went to the Hassle-free Clinic on Church where the guy handled my member gingerly with latex gloves and pronounced the lesion basically harmless. I'd been staying in a cheap hotel in that motherlode of poor sanitation, NYC the week before and I guess I picked something up off the bedsheets.

It went away a few days later.

I had a similar experience of having a red bump near the upper shaft area. Never had one till this year. When it disappeared,I thought it was nothing. Then a few should up in different areas in the upper area again and I become very worried. I went to get a std test at the men's walk-in clinic on Church street(thanks a million to the ones who contributed the information.) When the specialist asked me a few questions on whether I shaved or not and I told him I did. He explained it as simple as possible that one must be VERY careful shaving around the pubic area. Any cut can cause an ingrown pubic hair to become infected and suggested that I should switch to an antibacterial body wash and to to use Polysporin on the cut. Sure enough,it vanished back,never to appear again and give me the scare of my life! If you're not sure,see a doctor or specialist,better to be safe then sorry!

It is mostly a pimple or ingrown hair. I have seen things similar too what you are saying. Men who know me, know I like it shaved and have had some of the same problems.

HPV and herpes are cluster STD's in the end result of things. Monitor it, see if it happens when you shave, or use a certain soap. Chemicals can make things happen like you would not believe, and it sucks because they scare the shit out of you.

What's the difference between "contracting"and "passing it on"? Seems the same to me. If you've got somehting you've got something. I think either way you're pretty much f@#ked.

jbnimble: it would be near to impossible to trace back the who and where if anything was infact contracted. Many times if you do catch something, it could be from someone who didn't even know they had it themselves.

Years ago if you got some VD like the clap it was serious. Nowadays you're lucky that it's not AIDS. But if you could break it like a pimple my guess would be you're probably OK especially if it went away as VD's remain and continue to get progressively worse if left untreated. And genital warts do not appear as pimples - they're warts. I think that you could buy a tube of OXYCOCK and wooosh - looking good in 3 days. (kidding) To be sure why not get someone to look at it?

Let's not forget gentlemen - this is a dangerous hobby. You never know who or what you'll run into. Even if you're careful, the risk is always there.
