I found it interesting how higher income countries would realize less population growth than developing countries......

When Bill Gates and his wife Melinda started supporting and travelling to underdeveloped, or ?? countires to help educate them on how to reduce infant death rates, I thought, instead of helping them learn how to get more babies to survive, they should be teaching them about birth control.....

Its seems that as people get richer and more educated they tend to have fewer children to better enjoy life and to preserve wealth.

Don't sweat it. Technological advancements will cover our needs for resources as we go. Besides, chances are that as the populations get really large, some superbug will come along and wipe out a decent portion of the population. There is always a balance in nature regardless of what we do.

And on the other hand...who cares about 2050 when we might all be gone in 2012!
