A quick review of Platinum Wellness (Kennedy and Shep) - they post often here advertising amongst other things, backwalking, as well as on Kijiji. Decided to check it out.
Well, not much to report. The entire time, I was unsure whether or not it was legit or semi-legit (many here have said strictly legit), but the massage was quite good - combination of over towel "tui na" (I think), backwalking, oil massage, and stretching. I got no vibes that anything extras was on table, so I just enjoyed it at face value. That said, I also kept my underwear on which perhaps prevented any sort of teasing. Regardless, even when we got to that I wouldn't have bothered.
Where it got interesting was on my way out - I handed "mamasan" (or maybe just the boss lol) the room fee which is clearly stated as $55 on every ad and in the place itself. Mamasan turns to MPA and asks something in Chinese...MPA says what sounded like "mayo" in English. I then got grilled by mamasan as to why I gave no tip. Um, maybe b/c there was no extra service? Help me out here guys:
1) any idea what mayo means? If it means something like "no" or "nothing" then for sure extras are on the table at this place
2) Am i wrong for only paying the posted rate if I didn't get any extras?
Cheers
