Please Help the New Guy!!!!

Me and four buddies are taking our first trip to Costa Rica in the first week of June, and I cannot wait. This board has been absolutely great and I have some questions that I really need the knowledgeable guys to help with:
1) Where is the best place to stay(looking for nice rooms, in the middle of the action with the most beautiful girls). Don't mind paying a little more for the top quality. I figured out what HLH meant but I do not know all these abbreveations you regulars are throwing out so please give me some specifics.
2) Best Men's Clubs with the hottest girls that are willing to spend some time away from work.
3) Should we stay in a 7 bedroom home that is 20 minutes from San Jose or is that stupid for the kind of action we are looking for?
4) What other activities do you recommend around San Jose? Golf, etc.

I know I am the one who is wet behind the ears here, but I have traveled many other places and spent time with absolutely gorgeous women there. I hear that Costa Rica could be the best place in the world for my favorite activities. I just want to make sure I do it right - so help away!!!!

This is my second time to CR. I will arrive this Wednesday. My trveling friends have backed out and I will be traveling alone. I don;t like this but I want to go so badly. I will be staying at the Prsidente. Looking to maybe find a girl or two for more than just a session possibly for a day or two. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

I would cancel at the Pres and get a room at SL or Amistad, even if I had to eat the first night charge. Unlike the Prez, you can bring in any chica that you want and they don't need to cover up like a nun at theses two places. Plus, the staff won't look down upon you like some sicko perv, (even if you are one). :twisted: :wink:

Session with a few chicas when you come into town. Take down the phone numbers of the good ones. Once you session with a few, you will know who the good ones were, and then you can ask one of them to spend time with you for an extended period. I wouldn't blindly set up any escorts or anything long term (more than a couple of hours) without test driving them first. It can be a total train wreck.

Hotel Little Havana has four very nice suites and several excellent rooms. Aside from price, the difference is that guests in the suites can hire any HLH massage therapist for $25.00/hour, instead of the $50.00 or so paid by walk-ins and other hotel guests. specifics.
2) Best Men's Clubs with the hottest girls that are willing to spend some time away from work.

"Best" men's clubs (called "nightclubs" in C.R.) are more locals clubs. Yes, there are Atlantis, Puro Platino, Elite and Tango India...plan on U.S. prices for booze/dances, etc. I prefer the higher-value, but not as glitzy locals' clubs, such as Pantera Rosa and le Grillon. Sex is available with most of the dancers on-site, and it is fairly easy to get phone numbers for meetings outside the club. Since the clubs are open until 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning, don't plan on bringing a dancer back to your hotel unless you're willing to pay a hefty "bar fine," in addition to whatever you pay the girl.

C.R. strip clubs are a far cry from what you're used to in the U.S. Full contact, including fondling is permitted, usually for the price of a chica-drink (typically $8.00 - 10.00). Many dancers are cluddly, and again, most will happily sex you up for an additional fee right at the club.

Unless you're going to have your own car, unless you're going to be staying more than a couple weeks and unless you want refusals from 60% of the girls, don't rent the house. Many Hotel del Rey /Blue Marlin bar independents do not like to leave the familiar territory of the Gulch; some won't even go with you to the glitzier hotels near the airport. Stay near the Gulch. :idea:

4) What other activities do you recommend around San Jose? Golf, etc.

Valle del Sol is reported to be a decent golf course. Rental clubs are so-so, so if you're a serious golfer, bring your own clubs. ATV tours, whitewater rafting, jungle canopy tours, coffee plantation tours, volcanoes and waterfalls are all popular tourist activities. Several good tour operators are CRT sponsors; join V.I.P. for substantial discounts on everything from day trips to your hotel stay, to restaurant meals and transportation services. If you and your four friends all join V.I.P. (annual cost $39.00), you will probably save the cost of all memberships combined in just a few days in C.R. :idea: Also, the V.I.P. gives you access to photo galleries and an excellent printable map of downtown San Jose showing all the hot spots. You'll also get access to RBC100's tremendously useful list of tico bars and massage places, where you can get your yah-yahs for under $25.00.

As far as which hotel, here's the breakdown. HDR (Hotel del Rey) doesn't offer discounts to CRT V.I.P.s. The rooms I've been in have been of low quality and not worth half the going rack rate. Yes, girls of all shapes, sizes, quality, (legal) ages and sexual proclivities populate the Blue Marlin Bar and Casino del Rey on the first floor, 24/7. However, the hotel charges a whopping $10.00 "guest fee" for each chica who comes to your room, each time you have a visitor. That can really add up.

Sportsmen's Lodge (SL) is a heavily-frequented hotel by the likes of CRT guys. An official (and one of the earliest) V.I.P. sponsors, they give a generous 10% discount not only on room rates, but also on food and beverage. The hotel is small, classy and is often populated during the bar's open hours (not 24/7 like the del Rey). Warning: You usually need some lead time to book a room at the SL. I strongly suggest that you book NOW for your upcoming June trip. Some find the SL overpriced, some find it an extraordinary value. Part of the attraction is their excellent facilities, bar/restaurant and staff...but certainly part of the lure is the working girls. Duh.

Hotel la Amistad offers the best free breakfast for guests of all CRT V.I.P. sponsor hotels. The rooms have recently been updated, and I mean updated. Temperpedic-type mattresses, keycard locks, etc. Matt, the Amistad's owner is a great host. Their bar should be open soon... but this is Costa Rica and nothing is set in stone. Matt has already stated that working girls will not be permitted to hang around the bar and solicit business, but the hotel is extremely chica-friendly. Ask about renting one or more of the penthouse suites for your crew.

If you're on a tighter budget, CRT V.I.P. sponsors Hotel Castillo, Hotel Dunn Inn and Hotel Vesuvio all offer comfortable clean rooms at very good prices. Save even more by offering to pay in cash.... (hint).

Whatever you do, wherever you stay, please remember that you're now part of a brotherhood of good guys, most of whom are here to help any way we can. Orange thanks so much for the advice. A good friend of mine (not one that backed out) has stayed at the Prez several times and he talked highlky of it that is why I booked a room there. Since I am leaving Wed. probably will have hard time relocating. Again, thanks for your advice

Try anyway. From an (ex) Newbie to another, El Ciego and Orange know what they are talking about. There's a thread in here discussing how the Presidente has gone downhill recently from the mongering point of view.

You probably won't get a room at SL (they are fully booked until May and June is filling up fast), but give Amistad a call and ask Carlos if they might have a cancellation. I checked out their facilities yesterday and they are first rate.

I'm glad a lot of you do not like the Presidente. It makes it easier for me to get reservations. It is one of my favorite hotels that I have encountered. The staff and service is fantastic. I have never had a problem with bringing anyone back and both myself and the girl get treated with respect.

While the Pres. has it's downsides I have to disagree here MH, if the new guy is already booked why should he piss away his 1st night's rate and move someplace else? If he has problems or doesn't like it after a night or two THEN he could switch hotels and not lose any money.

Thanks so much for all the help. I tried booking the penthouse suite at the SL but they said they had no suites available for my travel dates - June 3-8. Does anybody know of anyone there with some pull so I can get some type of suite. I will give whoever works there, that can help, a fantastic tip for this.

You are right. I don't know what the cancellation policy is like at the Presidente, but if he's arriving Wednesday he's within the 72 hour window. Not worth losing the money.

N4itall.... that handle is appropriate (from a ripoff standpoint) if you and your buddies RUN A TAB IN ANY CLUB... EVEN THE DEL REY . Forget the "men's clubs for a first time trip. This "ain't" the good ole USA when you step off that plane. Everyone will see your NEWBIE tattoed on your forehead.

What do I mean by run a tab in a club... before you know it (you guys will be like deer caught in the headlights of a semi) you will be paying for 25 buck drinks for the chicas, the bill will be padded and when you refuse to pay.... BIG Bubba has a gun... that you can count on.
