PLEASE URGENT - NEED RESPONSE - MENOPURE!

I know I have posted before but i do need an urgent response from someone.
I have a client tonight - or maybe not !! She is taking Menopure for infertility. She wants 6 courses of reflexology from me. She is injecting herself and I am not sure whether to treat. My instinct tells me not to whilst she is on meds. To treat when off the cycle.
Is there anyone out there who has experience of this? PLEASE! I need some help. I am in no way having any illusions about helping her to conceive by stimulating her ovaries etc, I just want to help her relax as she has a stressful job. Having very little - or should I say No experience with reflexology and infertility issues I am I feel a little out of my depth!
Please? Anyone? I am due to do a Denise Tiran course next year on caring for pregnant clients - but until then...........I cannot find anything on the internet ......you are all I have............

Our tutor talks of treating poeple who are having treatment for infertility and how good reflexology can be for supporting this, but then she also tells us that should have GP or consultant consent if being treated and taking meds from them, so its a hard one to decide on! I have txt her to ask and will reply again soon as get a reponse! But hope you find some more help!

Go with your instinct. Don't treat. Wait until after the cycle, then use mainly relaxation techniques.

OK cant give you a clear reply on this as got a reply with conditions!
Am told would need Dr consent (but I'm still a student so think that makes a difference!) and also that check how the medication is realease as if time release the treatment would speed up the use of medication so making it less effective!
Sounds like your idea of not going with the treatment, or at least untill get her GP / specialists consent is the way to go!

I really appreciate your help. I have just spoken to the client and she confirms she is now not on the Menopure - she is starting to take it in 2 weeks and she was last on it at the end of April. So we have agreed between the two of us that I am not comfortable with treating her whilst on the meds but will go ahead tonight for relaxation as she is so stressed and that we will go ahead with next weeks and look at our diaries to make the other appointments around her cycle.
I think instinct is best and I was not comfortable about it and thanks everyone for your support and appreciate yo u getting back to me so quickly - I was beginning to panic!

Whenever I need you guys I know you are there. Thankyou and I hope I can be there for you too when you need support. Top2toe there is nothing on the attachment you sent me but thanks anyway.

Many thanks for those links.........my client used IUI in April and now having a break before starting again. So last night we chatted and she is happy and I am too to have treatment whilst not using meds and then she will have a break from reflexology whilst using Menopur then she will come back to me for 2 more sessions if the IUI has not worked. She has paid me in advance so I think she is keen!

It's really important for you to be in your comfort zone as a therapist and do what feels right Tracey, and it sounds as though you've reached an agreement with your client where you both feel happy. Good for you. That's the mark of a good therapist I think.
