Pokemon on DS?Newbie on Pokemon?

Ok,im planing to get soul silver/hear gold.What is better?Also,Is it fun?Does it become boring and repetitive?Also,tell me about Pokemon cause I KNOW NOTHING! (Not trading cards,toys,games,ect.).Are the games fun?Does it finish quickly?Any other tips?Thanks!

id recommend that you get soul silver. because i <3 lugia on the cover more aha. but it really doesn't matter which one you get b/ u get both lugia and hoho anyways

and strange enough, although all Pokemon games are about the same. they are all really fun somehow. like i always say oh ima just restart the game and give it to my bro but i cant ever do that. it just gets so interesting! haha. you'll know what i mean if u get it.

and okay Pokemon is a game where you get to chose a character, name him/her, and choose what type of trainer you want to be. also you fight many diff trainers, battle gym leaders, do quests, vs your friends, pick berries, compete in contests, talk to others, compete with your friends, and get baby Pokemon. its really fun! i promise that you'll like it!...because no one doesn't like Pokemon!

Oh, yeah, it is fun.

As for the series, the main game has you in the role of a Pokemon trainer who wants to be the world's Greatest Pokemon Trainer. You catch and train Pokemon to take on other trainers and Gym Leaders to make it into the Elite Four. Along the way, you have to foil criminals who use Pokemon for crimes (like Team Rocket) and fight your Rival, who changes each game.

There are also sub-games. The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game is set in an alternate world where you are a Pokemon that was once human. You team up with another Pokemon of your choosing to go on quests as a rescue team (in the first series) or an Exploration Team (in the DS games.) You have to do a quiz before a new game to see which Pokemon you play as.

Pokemon Ranger is another sub-game and is really cool. You play as a Ranger in regions not covered in the main series. You use the Stylus to capture Pokemon, and you can use them to clear obstacles on the World Map, or to help you capture other wild Pokemon.

Other Pokemon games include the Pokemon Stadium games on the Nintendo 64, where you transfer Pokemon from the original Game Boy games to use on the game, and the upcoming Poke Park Wii: Pikachu's Adventure, where you play as Pikachu and save a land.

It doesnt matter but i like hearthgold the only diffrence is the pokemeon that come up.
pokemons are like creatures that battle and stuff and their like petys i like pokmonm games and it takes a long time to finish but its really fun .
the storymode is like your trying to be the best in the world so you beat gym leaders and stuff also u can verse your frineds to see whos the strongest
