A Chicago woman who was arrested at a Plainfield massage parlor was an employee who offered to perform sexual acts to undercover officers for money, police said.
The Will County Cooperative Police Assistance Team investigated Yinyan Gao, 47, of Chicago, an employee at Plainfield Massage, after learning of numerous complaints from customers that Gao allegedly propositioned them when they came in for massages, Will County CPAT Director Wayne Ladd said.
Several undercover officers went to Plainfield Massage, 14200 Route 30, to receive massages from Gao, Ladd said. During the service, Gao allegedly gave the officers the impression that she would perform a sexual act in exchange for money.
When Gao came up with an amount that she would agree to for the sexual act, the officers declined and left the store, Ladd said.
On Dec. 12, Gao was arrested and charged with solicitation of a sexual act. She later was released on her own recognizance.
Ladd said he would call Gao’s alleged activities an “isolated incident” at this point.
Will County CPAT also was involved in the investigation of Baoxia Li, 53, of Chicago, who worked for I Spa, 2218 Plainfield Road, Crest Hill. Li pleaded guilty to prostitution after propositioning a man and an undercover police officer.
The police team also was involved in an investigation that led to the arrest of massage store employees Mickey Ye, 32, and Wanting Yu, 41, both of Chicago. Both were convicted of battery.
