COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – After an investigation into the Seasons Spa in Colonie, police arrested a 49-year-old woman.
An undercover officer received a massage from Xiaomae Yang, of Latham. According to police, halfway through the massage, Yang grabbed the undercover investigator’s intimate parts.
She was not licensed by the state to conduct massage therapy.
Police began their investigation after receiving complaints from neighbors. Diane McCarthy was one of those neighbors.
McCarthy said she always felt the business was something more than a foot spa.
“Always men; never any women,” she said.
Police said they acted on those complaints by surveilling the spa and speaking with a few of its patrons.
“The men we pulled over could not describe why they were there,” Colonie Police Lt. Bob Winn said.
That’s when police sent an undercover officer posing as a client into the spa, and police said Yang grabbed the officer.
Yang was charged with Performing Massages without a License, a felony, and Forcible Touching, a misdemeanor. She was arraigned Thursday night and remains in Albany County without bail.
Lt. Winn said her immigration status appears to be legal. Yang will remains in jail until she offers up her fingerprints, which will confirm her identity.
She is expected back in court next week.
