Hi,
I was just wondering whether it would benefit my boy friend seeing an osteopath. He has had severe back pain for 14 months after having Guillen Barre Syndrome (GBS). Whilst having Guillen Barre Syndrome they did a lumbar puncture and went wrong. The needle hit a nerve and caused his back to spasam. Since then he has had seizures and spasams throughout his body, originating from the point in his back where he had the lumbar puncture. If you push that spot where he had a lumbar puncture it causes his whole body goes into spasam.
The doctors haven't been much help and are repeatly deciding on different medications in which none of them work. The only medication that is helping slightly is diazepam which works for a few hours, however it doesn't cure the pain at all.
He is at a last resort now as within 14 months he's gone from being a perfectly healthy 22 year old to being unable to work at all.
Is there any chance osteopathy would work for the pain or give him some indication as to what is wrong with him?
Many Thanks,
Annie
