Lindy,The current health of this individual will determine what you can and cannot do.If the person is in good condition, watching their diet, and are otherwise healthy, you should be able to work on them in whatever manner you want. آ Being that is has been years since the heart attack, they hopefully are in good shape now.If the person is not in good condition and continues to have issues, I wouldn't work on them and I would make sure they are talking with their cardiologist. آ Their system has to be able to handle the changes that will occur with the massage.Either way, I would get their cardiologist to clear them for massage just to be safe. Also, can she pin-point why her legs are sore? Might be an issue with circulation which she will definetly need to clear with her Dr.My Dad received a heart transplant about 2 years ago. آ I work on him now without any problems. آ During the time after his heart failure and while he was on the transplant waiting list, I did not work on him other than specific spot work. آ He had had heart failure and had a pace maker during that time, so his system was in a compromised position.
