I have visited BigSister many times and I like the atmosphere there. Only open Thursday and Friday with camera. If you want to visit without camera open daily from 7 pm.
It is not free but in my opinion, cheap.
A lot of paper and passport if you go with camera, but the staff is helpful.

Well, they are extremely upfront about it so I wouldn't call it "shady". But you are right - that's exactly the deal. Oh, and btw, you are not only transferring the rights to use your image on the internet but also on DVDs and TV. And I know at least two German channels who broadcasted censored versions of Bigsister footage. Imho: too high a price to pay for free sex.

When I was there, I don't recall ever coming across a girl that spoke English in a private. Most of the girls in the brothels/clubs did though.

I'm really surprised you had so many problems finding girls who spoke English.

In my experience the girls in three out of four privates speak enough English to answer my questions on the phone. But then again, I ask less questions than you do. I mean, do you really think someone is going to answer "Yes, our sheets are dirty!" ? So why ask the question?

I've also never been in a private where I couldn't shower.

Bad luck I suppose.

A very nice trip report indeed. I guess you planned everything from the beginning, especially trying to get the language down before taking your trip, smart move. Next time you're there try show park. Not pretentious like clubs but straight to the action.

Question, for the recommended privates, did you call ahead to book the girl or did you just just showed up and the girls that you like just happened to be there?

Before my trip to Prague I used a combo of rb, google, mpnet, *** to scope it out a bit.

These links seemed to have the highest signal/noise ration:

Based on that research I determined I had 4 types of options:
- Big Sister
- Strip/Night Clubs
- Escorts
- Privats

Big Sister caught my initial interest due to their offer of free sex.

I tried, however, to make a free-sex-appointment with them and they told me it was not available to me:

2 other types of action might be available but I saw little evidence of them before or during my trip:
- SWs
- Free-lancers working bars

During my trip, I focused solely on Privats based on my guess they offered biggest bang-per-buck.

Other pre-trip activities I engaged in:
- Study the city maps at escort.cz
- Learn some Czech.

Study of the maps convinced me that I could access most of the Privat talent via subway AKA "Metro" and trams.

During my trip from SFO to Prague, I listened to the Pimsleur Czech recordings which I obtained from the above public library and then burned to my mp3 player.

Also I listened to them over and over during my freetime periods in Prague.

My first night in Prague I called 6 privats and could not pierce the language barrier.

Some of the Privat ads claim the ladies know English but the POs seemed to understand only Czech.

So, I lacked the ability to ask simple questions like who is working? and what is your address?

Therefore, I spent my first 3 days in Prague with a phrase book and mp3 recordings learning Czech.

I did this by walking up to various hotel desks and asking simple questions.

And these questions are similar to the types of questions I ask of Privats on the phone:
- What's the rate?
- When can I visit?
- How long can I stay?
- What's included?
- What if I don't like the room?
- Do you take dollars or credit cards?
- Does the shower work?
- Are the sheets clean?
- Is the neighborhood safe?
- Where is the nearest tram stop?
- Where is the nearest metro stop?
- Can I call for directions if I get lost?


It's funny that after all that talking to hotel operators, I used the web to book my hotel.
I got a reasonable room for $40/night with a free (but bad) breakfast.

Anything over $60/night is probably a rip-off.

Also at tram-stops and the subway, I'd act lost and chat-up people while waiting for transportation.

After 3 days of doing this I spoke enough Czech to be able to call a Privat and get their address and an appointment.

Also I found SMS useful but every place responded to SMS messages only after they heard my voice at initial contact.

And I noticed that the PO did know some basic English when we could get to the SMS level of interaction.

In retrospect, I think I should have practiced my Czech on Prague hotel clerks from the comfort of my San Jose office using skype for a couple of weeks before the trip.

My next objective is Warsaw Poland and that will be my language-plan for that monger destination.

Any way in Prague, once I started getting appointments I encountered a new list of barriers similar to what we see here in CA at AAMPS:
- Double booking
- Not picking up the 2nd call
- B & S photos

An additional barrier was what I call the "dirty apartment".

I saw 3 apartments which offered an unclean bed with no shower.

Also some of B & S was really outrageous:
- I met one 25 year old woman who looked over 50
- I met another lady who was about 6 months pregnant (she was pretty though).

After all these barriers I found 2 places which offered acceptable services:
