two weeks ago i was contacted by the manager of an OB/Gyn office here in town. a very prominent one. they have extended their hours to be open on saturday mornings and would like to make massage therapy available to their patients. depending on the response, more days throughout the week would be added.
they asked me if we were interested in being part of their prenatal program. (um, YES!) so i was to type up a proposal and send it over and see what happens from there.
i had my marketing coach help me out with it. in the proposal i was sure to tell them how excited i am to have the opportunity to partner with them. i went over pricing and how i believe the pricing for tx at the clinic should be the same as the pricing in my office so there would never be any competition, so that the partnership would thrive. i went over what we would be responsible for and what they would be responsible for, and i asked for an 80/20 split. i already pay my LMTs 70%, which they will continue to make and the extra 10 will go to the business. in the event they countered i would ask them to purchase a table.
they didn't counter. they have no objection to the proposal. and my business is now in PARTNERSHIP with a large OB/Gyn clinic that has been around for 40 years!
so i've been thinking - you can all do this. you can market it, benefits of fertility, pre and post natal massage. some may not bite at all, but all it takes is one.
