Hi
I have a client on Thursday who is 36 weeks and she is wanting to avoid being induced. Do you think it would be ok to do reflexology AND do an Holistic Facial on the same night? Would this be too much for her. I normally only do one treatment - not many clients seem to want 2 treatments unless a pamper party and those are not normally pregnant! If it was an Indian Head Massage AND a Reflexology treatment I would usually say it would be too much stimulation and just recommend doing the one treatment on that particular night, but as it is an holistic facial and very relaxing rather than stimulating and then they have the reflexology which under the circumstances given that she is 36 weeks I would 'tread' gently anyway. Sorry that was a really long sentence !!
Would you do the two treatments?
I am due to do a mat Reflex course in Jan but at the moment do not really have much experience in pregnant ladies so far in advance and I think her expectations are that reflexology may induce her. Is this the correct way to go about this......to induce - I don't think so as I am out of my depth at what to touch to begin with!
Just a relaxing massage ???
Help!!
If I was more experienced and had done the Mat Reflex course I would be more confident but do not want to give her the 'miracle' image that I can bring on her labour. I need to make her aware of the realistic reflexology techniques and maybe she needs to take some advice from her midwife if she is avoiding induction which may be inevitable for medical reasons.
Hope that makes sense!
Thanks
