Pregnancy question...

Does anyone know if a 75-80 minute pregnancy massage is too long and could potentially harm a client? (just because of the positioning, etc..)

I am in the process of deciding whether or not to add this service for clients in our Day Spa.

When I took my pregnancy certification with Kelly Lott we talked about this very thing. She felt that more than an hour was too long, too much on the pregnant body. In60 mins you can address the top 3 problems and if it's just total relaxation 60 mins is plenty.

I agree - I think 60 mins is the maximum time.

We were advised to do 30 - 60 minutes only... I think it is too much on her system, and comfort for any time beyond that.

And, after just talking to my sister who is due in February, there is always the pee factor. When ya gotta go durring a massage, it's no fun. If a client needs to go, not really that big of a deal....now imagine being pregnant and having to get up go and then settle back down. That's a bit of a production. I know when I was pregnant I was a peeing freak!
