Pregnant Client due mid April

Hi all

Have meant to get this on before but never enough time.

I have a lady who has came to me for treatment from 6 months pregnant.

She is due third week in April and I know that some reflexologists will work reflexes to stimulate contractions.

Having not done any pregnancy reflexology courses I was wondering if anyone can give me any info re what they usually do. I want to do a pregnancy reflex course but haven't found one yet. I don't mind travelling.

I could hazard a guess at the uterus reflex but would appreciate the correct guidance.

1. If this client is new to reflexology, I would carefully avoid those reflexes until the client is 9 months pregnant and wants to get a move on.
2. If the client is a regular, then only lightly work on the areas to avoid over stimulation...that is until she is overdue and desparate. (tweak the little toes too).

Hi Patchouli, in addition to what Mysterious has said I would just say that whilst reflexology has been shown to be succesful, that will not always be the case. All you can do is your best and if it is meant to be then it will be.

My client is duesometime this weekbut has phoned me just now to say she thinks she has gone into labour.

I am quite excited for her now, can't wait to meet this little person. My first Mother and baby. I also do baby massage classes so looking forward to that too for them. It's great to have been a part of this lovely ladies care.

I am sending her and the baby loads of Reiki healing and thoughts that the birth goes smoothly.
