I dont live in Vancouver but am due for a visit early 2009 and am wondering how prices are reacting to the economic situation? Or is the slow global economy offset in Vancouver by the upcoming Olympics? I'm referring to the AMPs mainly.

the prices in calgary are starting to drop, a few at $$1/2, down from $$$.
saw an add for flat rate in edmonton at $$$$$, that's just crazy, when you can go to a mp and get the same for $$

I don't see any drop at least for the K micros. Still at $.60/45 and most HK ones at $.40 with some not so good qualities ones at $.20.

There's a few massage independents who are very good and reasonable at jsut a brown (including HJ) for an hour. If you want more, prices go up, of course. For a really good massage, check Lisa (6996 on CL). Several reviews on here, and she recently moved from Burnaby to downtown.

For many massage places the posted prices are the same, but I've found they're willing to negotiate when you show up at the door.

I find you get what you pay for but do your homework. Most cheaper sp's are older and not eye candy. Everynow and then you find extra value but ymmv and it is hard. Plus many pooners keep a good thing to themselves and do not share (bastards!)
