Hiya
If you look on amazon and order 101 Tried and Tested ways to Acquire clients and to Keep Clients by Stephen A Harold.....sorry cannot find the book to get the exact title, but he is fab and has some really great ideas. Putting leaflets on cars in supermarkets - get permission from Manager first. Don't go on same day following week you tend to find people shop on the same day so you may be giving clients the leaflet again! Put leaflets in local Chemists, Churches, Don't forget the Dentist......people who are sitting there read the information on the boards as a way to take their mind off them being nervous!
Ask the Dentist himself - Dentists are stressed. Go into your local firestation/policestation/NHS walk in centre in your uniform with all your badges etc, look smart, smile and offer to give a taster session to the manager/superviser so you can show an example of your therapy and offer to help relieve some stress within the workforce. When they come off shifts they would be grateful for a reflexology treatment. Or Neck shoulder massage. Approach the Occupational Health department at the local training area at the police headquarters where you live.
(I use to be a police special constable and all units have an occupational therapy department for all constables who are in need of therapy, whether it be counselling/drug rehabilitation, marital advice, stress, abuse, sexual harrassment, etc, etc).
Approach the local teachers (head teachers) and mention the figures for teachers off with stress related illness is rising and you could help alleviate this and boost morale in the workplace. Ask if you could hand out some leaflets or a poster to be put up in their staff room.
Hold a pamper session at the local school - all funds or 50% going towards school funds. Go into hairdressers and offer to hand out leaflets or give them to the owner and ask for them to put them on their work stations for clients to see and you could in return put their salon name on the back of your leaflets. It benefits them too!
Oh my goodness I have lots of ideas.
Good luck.
