Private Gentlemans forum

Well it is 2004 you know LOL
Okay my new brain wave - yea yea another one :roll: is that there are so many forums around the net nowdays for working ladies yea ?
Most of them, if not all of them have a private ladies forum that only working ladies have access to.
Well my idea is that there should/could be a private forums where just the men and ONLY the men have access to :idea:
So what I am wanting to do here is a first for the forums within Australia and that is offer a private forums strictly for the men to have access to.

There would obviously need to be some sort of moderating - watchful eye in there so to speak - BUT I will leave it up to the members of that forum to tell me how they want it run, moderated and who should/could moderate it.
First of we would need to do a vote here OR you can email me to see if it is worth while having one included.
I can then go in to the finer details if there is a want for it............... 8)

I voted no on this. Not because i've got anything against the idea. I just noticed no one had. And well it doesn't look good if it's carried unamously.

I personally think this is a great idea as I really feel the guys here need somewhere they can discuss without worrying about what the ladies might think/feel/say. That is not to say I think it will be a forum full of bagging ladies - not by any means!. As Nikki said, the ladies have their own forum so why not the guys. Just somewhere to feel a little more privacy

I believe this idea has some potential, giving the guys a chance to voice there opinions and ideas in an area where they may feel more comfortable, but there would need to be a set of rules and guidelines which all people who wish to post in that area need to read and understand first. Being a moderator on another special interest forum myself, if left unchecked, even the private areas can turn into a farce. Things like blatant personal attacks should not be tolerated, all opinions still need to be objective without being slanderous, being a private forum this gives certain "keyboard warriors" the idea they can say and do whatever they please. This I believe could be difficult to control as that line in this forum is not so clear cut as most topics are of a personal nature. But to the credit of Aus Babes the current forum has been run very well so I am sure this idea could work.

I voted yes, but I'm still wondering what the hell us guys would talk about that we don't want the ladies to know about, seems a bit "underhanded" in a way. Those ladies who know me will know that I have nothing to hide.

private forum

Just wanted to mention a couple of things in regards to the private forums for you Blokes (there you go Scouser :wink: ) that I am looking at setting up:

The idea of having one isn't for the use to flame anyone or pass derogatory remarks. It is their solely for the purpose to have somewhere where the men can go in and correspond with each other easily. The topics can be across the board, just like they are in the Chat room.
Some of the ladies have said they think it is a good idea but are a little hesitant due to it maybe becoming a full on place where "blokes" can go in and say what ever they want. Well they can to a certain extent - just not horrid comments.
As I said if it is not done here then it is/can be done on other forums anyway OR via Private message here OR via the Chat room private message system.

This site has some people that prior to here never even knew another person that would/have visited a working lady BUT more so I think with the way this forum is operated and with having the Chat room people now have a base of some pretty good Reviewiends and are able to actually speak to other like minded people - female and male. It is not there specifically for anything other than a place for the blokes to talk about anything and everything whether or not it is even about working ladies is yet to be seen. Could be just about what they had for dinner or where to buy the cheapest groceries - even I don't know that
Who else can blokes tell and talk to about working ladies?

If it turns to crap and it doesn't work - I will take it down.
If it takes the chatter away Reviewom the normal forums - I will take it down.
If it is not used - I will take it down.
If it ends up just being a place where men go to run down working ladies and have hissy fits - then I will take it down.

At this seforum.xxxe it looks like I will go ahead with it, seeing as to the way the poll was voted on and the feedback I have recieved. I am willing to give it ago, it's up to the members to see if it works.
All members will need to be activated by myself, so unless they are people that are posters and are actually male :shock: they won't be able to gain access 8)
I will announce the result in the Chat room tonight for the vote - see you all there ...............

We will be having a "blokes" only forum

I will start the process tonight and set it all up - I should have it enabled by tomorrow if not tonight.
There are 3 ways to gain access to it:

1. An email sent to me at: [email protected]
2. A private message sent to me via the forum
3. Posting it here

The moderators and such can be decided on once the forums is under way until then ummmmmmmm I'll keep an eye on it :wink:
I will post the in's and out's inside the private forums - and then it is up to the members as to how it will run and work 8)

BTW if your not a reg in the forums OR in the Chat room OR I don't know you OR your just a lurker here OR newbie OR such - you can't gain access 8)
