Problem with FaceBook chat update?

So I got on FaceBook this morning and in the chat box there was some sort of thingy that I didn't pay much attention to, so I just hit the "ok" button or whatever... but suddenly my chat list started only showing half the people that are actually online, and then there are some people that I talk to often, who's names are displayed on the chat list, but they aren't actually online...

I made the change on the browser Google Chrome, but when I go onto Internet explorer it displays all my friends normally.

I want to know how to make it go back to showing all my contacts online, and not show people who aren't online.

Facebook likes to make things terrible. They will take something working great and ruin it for its users. I don't know why they do this, they are clowns. You can't change back and they basically force their users with this garbage. The best thing you can do which ive been spreading the word since i hate this change with a passion is to go here http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=ui_chat2 write and tell facebook to change back to the old style. The more we write the greater the chance they change it back.

It seems to be another random, unwanted and unpopular change that facebook has seen fit to impose on its users without their knowledge or consent. About par for the course really.
