problem with facebook chat?

the chat list on my account shows random friends and only some of them have the green circle or gray moon. the chat list won't close and i have to search someone's name on it if i want to see if they're online. it doesn't even show me how many people are online and i can no longer see the little pictures of online people on the left side of my facebook homepage as i could before. none of my other friends have this problem...how can i fix this?

Yeh , Facebook changed the chat thing a few days ago.
It's like a new way of chatting here's what you do, ( Although this is going to be an inconvenient way of doing it, it should work)

1. Login.

2. Click on a photo (any photo) just click on your profile photo or a friends etc. (so now you should see the photo in it's maximum size)

3. notice how now that you're looking at a photo , you can now click on the gear icon (bottom-right corner of screen)

4. so after clicking on the gear click on "pop-out chat".

Yeh facebook chat has changed quite a bit, try using my method though (even though it's not too convenient) at least you can still use it like before.

Hmm, I think it's a facebook glitch, maybe you should take a little break from it and come back to it. Or maybe log out then log back in. Hope I helped.
