So I recently moved into a new apartment and I just brought up my cat today. My roommate also has two cats. Mine is a 1 year old male and she has two three year old female cats and they are all fixed. Right now we are keeping them separate with my cat in my room and hers in the rest of the apartment for about a week like we've read in a couple places but we've come across a few problems.
Her cats (they're sisters) have been hissing at each other non stop since I've brought up Taargus. Is there a way we can get them to stop or is it just something they're going to have to work out?
Also, are there any tips you might have for making my cat more comfortable in his new home? He usually adjusts really well to new places but for the past six hours all he's been doing is laying behind my couch. He hasn't eaten or used his litter box at all so I'm starting to get worried.
Any tips would be great. Thanks!
