Proposal questions

Hey folks!
I have been asked to write up a proposal to do on-site table massage for 11 employees. I would split this up over 3 days and charge my regular hourly rates. I'm wondering if I should charge a "travel fee" or not. It seems common here for MTs to do so, but my thinking is that I would have a full book for three days, so the travel and set-up time is not interfering with other clients.

What do you all think?

1. How far do you have to travel to get there (time and distance)?

2. Is this 3 days in a row? Will you be able to set up and leave it set up for 3 days or do you need to set up and break down every day?

3. Is there a possibility that you may get more clients and have more days there?

4. Is this 3 days per month? 3 days per week?

It's about 10 miles from my office, but due to traffic could take as long as 30 minutes.

That is unknown right now, depending on how we schedule things. I suppose if I could leave everything I would reduce the travel fee.

No. This is a staff of 11.

Right now this a one-shot deal, but who knows what could happen if they are pleased with my work and its effect on their employees.

I assume the 11 people are spread over the 3 days, so you sked would be some combination of 3, 4 & 4 hour appts.

Yes, R&R, that's correct. The question is, is it reasonable to charge travel fees, as is common in this area?

On-site should always cost more than someone coming to you.

Since you are already charging your office rate to go to them, a travel fee is not unreasonable.
