Well I totally disagree with Julius. I have been a LMT for 23 years and I love it. You have to remember a massage therapist can do so much more than just rubby dubby feel good massages. After massage school you can continue your education in a lot of different areas. Neuro-muscular therapy, Myofascial Release, Bowen Therapy, Dorn Spinal therapy, are just a few things to look into that are all in the scope of practice of a LMT. I see three patients in the morning, take a long lunch and see three in the afternoon, four days a week. That's 24 hours a week @ $70 per appointment,do the math. But the best thing is I love what I do. There can't be a better feeling than helping another person manage their pain. But massage therapy is like anything else in life,it's what YOU make of it. Hope this is some help.
