Can I ask if any of you have treated someone with psoriasis. I have a 76 yr old client who adores the treatment and says its the only physical touch she gets. She always goes straight to sleep though!! She has been having treatment at hospital for psoriasis but it wasn't on her lower legs or feet. She hadn't been for a month and now her feet have small sores on the soles. Is it ok for her to have a gentle treatment? I have looked it up in all my many books and cant find anything about it. If its ok, what are the best ones to work on?

Its a shame as she enjoys the treatments as much as she does but personally I wouldnt treat her until she has seen her GP and he has cleared her for resuming treatments. Any sores need to be approached with caution in case there is an infection going on, just for your own peace of mind suggest she gets clearance from the GP and then go back to treating her. Thats what Id do anyway.

Hi Melsy, I agree with Wendy - if you treated her now you could cause her sores to become infected. When she has recovered and you start treating her again, if she has been prescribed a moisturing cream from her doctor, you could suggest you use that during the treatment instead of your normal cream/talc.

Agree with what has already been said. Once the feet have improved I'd suggest working on the digestive and elimination reflexes, such as the gall bladder, stomach, liver, spleen, intestines, kidneys, and oesphagus. Also work the reflexes where she gets the psoriasis, for example if she gets it on her elbows, work the elbow reflex. I'd also work the pituitary and adrenal reflexes especially if it flares up due to stress.
