Pulse on kidney reflex

Hello folks

While I was working on a client today, I put my thumb on the kidney reflex point on the right foot and felt a pulse there.

What does this mean?

Incidentally, she had a Reiki treatment this week and the therapist told her he felt a lot of congestion around her kidneys. Is this linked?

Hello Chris,
Have you done meridain therapy with reflexology? Im studying advance reflex and sometimes you do pick up pulses when doing the meridians. Sometimes the pluses can be more stronger than on the other foot. The Kidney is associated with fear. Kidney QI is the root of all the QI in the body - and if it is weak or deficient this leads to deficiency and weakness of the QI of the whole body.
Client could also have ear problems,lung congestion, digestive problems,burning sweating painful feet.
Just make a note and carry on the good work.

Thank you for your very insightful post. I haven't done meridians in reflexology apart from a brief mention, but it might be worth researching.

My client also told me that she had had Reiki this week (not from me) and her therapist picked up that she had congested energy around her liver and kidneys. Is that related?

Hello Again,
If congestion was picked up then your client may well have a knock on affect: Like chakras if one is out of balance then its quite likely there maybe others out too: its about the energy flow and if its not flowing then the organs connected will be effected.
The kidney is partner with the urinary bladder, the liver is paired with gall bladder and stomach is paired with the spleen
