[sm=animal-smiley-085.gif]I am hoping to train in Quantum Touch in the near future and wondered if anyone has ever experienced this modality? I've been wanting to do it for the last year or so but haven't had the opportunity before. I am Reiki Master and also attuned to Celtic Reiki - I'm hoping QT will meld with and perhaps boost the treatments.

I have a friend who has trained and finds it very powerful - she is also qualified in Reiki and Seichem. I have the book and found it very interesting but have not really practiced it, though it is extremely easy to master. My friend taught her 10 year old granddaughter in a matter of minutes

I've heard a lot about QT (there was a whole thread devoted to it on HP in the Spiritual healing forum, just in case you missed it)...and yes, I have heard that it's very powerful too. I wonder if you'd be interested in EMF(electro-magnetic field) balancing? I think it's round abouts the same kind of thing as QT, and many reiki practioners and spiritual healers go into it to strengthen their abilities and to learn a slightly different technique to enhance their treatments. I've just checked out the Quantum Touch website and realised that it is actually quite different from EMF Balancing- the main difference being that QT concentrates on breathing techniques to enhnce the treatments, whereas EMF is looking at different aspects of the human energy system, and how that relates with the universal energy field that it interacts with.

I first got interested in EMF when I saw a woman called Alicia Mary Smith giving sessions at a MBS event in Essex a few years ago. It really caught my attention and it was so peaceful to watch, I thought it would be a great addition to any other energy work I have done or will do in the future. My sister used a "celtic weaving" technique when she was nursing her son thru cancer - this was prior to my being attuned to Reiki. When I started practising Reiki and looking into light/energy work generally - I came across a technique called "light weaving" which was very similar to what my sister had been doing intuitively.

The meditation/visualisation given on the emfbalancingtechnique site seems very similar to the one used in Reiki for Chakra Activation....h'mm. Maybe room for some research here? Maybe linking the two together with intent/affirmation would produce something similar for no, or at least a lot less, cost? Am I just being cynical?

The fees for the EMF balancing technique when added together seem to be high but in fact they are on parr with the fees anyone would pay to attain their Reiki I through to Reiki Masters training. You are not required to undertake the training all at once. The training can be completed at your own pace and in bite size chunks in a similar fashion to the Reiki e.g.:

* You can undertake the UCL workshop which is the one day training giving you a foundation, meditations and many techniques unique to the EMF for self balancing as well as balancing others.

* Then when you feel ready you can follow that up with the two day basic practitioner training which builds on the UCL workshop and trains you to understand the principles, formats as well as qualifying you to give and practice the Phase I & II sessions.

* The final part of the 6 day training runs for 3 days at the end of which you will be qualified to become an Advanced Practioner (similar to some Reiki Master training). This builds on all the information you are introduced to in the UCL and Basic practitioner training i.e. the principals that apply to the entire process, the theory behind the practice and how to facilitate Phases III & IV of the EMF Balancing Technique as well as how to facilitate distance and combined sessions for clients.

Again please note there is no time limit by which you need to complete this training. You simply advance and grow at your own speed.
